The whole idea that you only regret the things you don’t do is a funny one. I used to firmly believe this, without fail. Do it, no excuses, if that’s what you really want. Don’t grow old with regrets. But the last few years have taught me the hard way that sometimes, some things we do we really do regret, because it means that having done them, we are no longer able to do the things we really want to do. Some things, once done, cannot be undone. And sometimes, not always, but sometimes you regret having done it far more than you could ever have regretted not doing it.
