Whatever you do, do NOT buy a 3D TV!

GENEVA (Reuters) – Scientists at the CERN research center say their “Big Bang” project is going beyond all expectations and the first proof of the existence of dimensions beyond the known four could emerge next year.

3D TV and 3D movies are going to be so last year! Don’t risk buying outdated technology! Mind you I am not looking forward to seeing JACKASS in 11D.

According to this latest report, which follow from the report released 21/09/2010, the CERN scientists are close to discovering these extra dimensions.

Multiple Dimensions

For years, Einstein hoped to unite the contemporary ideas of relativity and quantum mechanics. Yet, he could not unite these theories because he limited his parameters for a unifying equation to the four dimensions that humans consciously experience. The first physicists to truly pursue the theory of additional dimensions were Kaluza and Klein. They noticed that if a fifth dimension were to exist in the universe, there would be fields of angles between all of the existing dimensions. By applying this to Einstein’s geometric model of gravity, Kaluza and Klein noticed that gravity, the force that relativity is concerned with, and electromagnetism, one of the forces that quantum mechanics deals with, showed similar properties. Therefore, by adding a fifth dimension to the universe, the same equations that apply to electromagnetism could also apply to gravity. It was later shown that not only is one additional dimension required for this link to be solidified, but six more dimensions. Even further down the road, it was discovered that the formulas used to determine this number (which are actually mathematical methods of approximation, since the actual formulas are unknown) we slightly off, resulting in yet another necessary dimension. Therefore, our three physical dimensions plus one time dimension plus seven additional dimensions results in there being eleven dimensions!

You are probably wondering what this all means. What the ramifications for humanity and the universe will be. What the ramifications for religion will be.

Well, to cut a long story short, I have no frigging idea. Mainly because I am a victim of the four dimensions that have been ingrained into me since I popped out of a vagina oh so long ago. In this reality, for want of a better word, things fall down, not up, light speed is an impossibility unless you are light, and the Roosters can’t win a grand final.

It is hard for us who are defined by these four dimensions to see beyond them. Edwin Abbott Abbott, a teacher, attempted to explain this in a piece he wrote in 1884 called Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions.

Abbott used the fictional two-dimensional world of Flatland to offer pointed observations on the social hierarchy ofVictorian culture. However, the novella’s more enduring contribution is its examination of dimensions; in a foreword to one of the many publications of the novella, noted science writer Isaac Asimovdescribed Flatland as “The best introduction one can find into the manner of perceiving dimensions.”[2] As such, the novella is still popular amongst mathematicsphysics, and computer science students.

Now if we were to add an extra seven dimensions into our much known and limited four, this conjures a whole new world of thinking.

It means what we consider as sanity is limited to the extreme. We scoff at those that say they see ghosts or those that talk to imaginary people that they see and hear imaginary voices, but what if they are not listening to imaginary things at all! Crazy huh?

‘M’ THEORY

So what does this all mean? Well, for starters, if your kids are spending a load of time reading science fiction, let them. It is fascinating that ideas imagined in science fiction form a majority of our current world. Escalators. Elevators. Space travel. Travel under the sea. Cars. Flight. Mobile phones. Computers.

One day we may see other ideas such as faster than light travel and time machines. Actually, you may have to hold on those. At least in OUR universe. But in another universe of the infinite universes that exist and coexist and continue to grow and be born, then that may indeed be a possibility.

It also conjures up a new concept. Instead of aliens from another planet, what about aliens from another universe instead. Or from another dimension.

In the videos ‘M’ theory is given multiple names. Membrane. Magically. Mystical. Majestic. All I can say is roll up people. We are about to take a tour that will blow your minds.

Incidentally, apparently you can get these next guys on iTunes now. Now that really is mind blowing. Well, if you have a small mind I guess.

    I have a question about 3dtv.
If we look for other symptoms to fatigue or eye.
    Eye pain, vomiting, dizziness
I used to see the movie because it is 3d and headaches and eye fatigue.
Thank you for your answers in advance.
